The TV series LOST ran for six seasons, finally finishing in 2010. It has just been announced that a new season of LOST will start later this year, and will be sponsored by parcel delivery firm YODEL.

The original series focused on the lives of a group of plane crash survivors on a remote island, and their attempts to stay alive as they explored their new home. Details surrounding the new seventh season have been kept under tight wraps, but we do know that the UK parcel delivery firm YODEL will be a title sponsor when the season airs on UK TV.

The season is scheduled for Channel 4, and will air sometime between 8am and 9pm.

A spokesperson for Channel 4 commented:

We’re very excited about the new season, but with YODEL involved we’re not sure when it will arrive here at Channel 4. It may well end up being left in a garden at ITV.

A spokesperson for YODEL added:

We feel LOST and YODEL are the perfect partners. LOST is a TV series that took much longer than necessary to deliver a conclusion, which is what we’re all about here at YODEL.
