Soft-drink giant Coca-Cola has bowed to popular demand and added an extra Cheshire Oaks date to its tour, but has also imposed a two-drink minimum for those wishing to have their picture taken with the truck.
The Chester Chronicle reported earlier today that the truck would not be visiting either Ellesmere Port or Chester, but would be visiting Liverpool One on December 5th and 6th. The Bugle can exclusively reveal that Coca-Cola has added an additional date for Cheshire Oaks of December 4th, so shoppers and Ellesmere Port residents can see the famed red truck.
However, in order to help finance the additional date Coca-Cola has imposed a two-drink minimum on anyone who wishes to have their photo taken with the truck.
A spokesman for Coca-Cola commented:
We realise how important it is for kids to get some Coca-Cola at Christmas, so we’re putting on an extra date. All parents have to do to let their kids touch the truck is to buy two drinks per person. We think it’s a fair deal for something that will make most people’s Christmas.
The red Coca-Cola truck is travelling around the UK spreading Christmas cheer this year, starting in Glasgow on November 12th and finishing up inn Rusden on December 14th.
Ellesmere Port and Chester residents were led to believe they would miss out this year but, thanks to Coca-Cola’s generosity, they now have a chance to see the historic vehicle.
Will you be going to Cheshire Oaks to see the Coca-Cola truck? What do you think of the two-drink minimum? Let us know in the comments below.
Do not be deceived, other commentator. This man is a liar. Do not actually go to the place. Coca cola is not in on that idea.
