A local dad has just had a massive rant at the lack of any James Bond movie on the TV on Boxing Day. The dad, from Chester, has just been going through his TV planner selecting what shows to record over the Christmas period and stopped in shock when he reached December 26th and noticed the lack of Bond.
Typically there is a Bond movie on Boxing Day each year, usually on ITV around 3pm. Dads throughout the UK mark this time as ‘their time’ to get away from the constant stream of kids, cartoons, arguments and the search for batteries. However this year there is no escape.
The dad was expecting to find something along the lines of Live and Let Die, or maybe Moonraker, but instead found more cartoons and Christmas films.
The dad exclaimed:
It’s a bloody disgrace! All I wanted for Christmas was a bit of Roger Moore. Maybe even some Dalton. But no, I have to spend it with the family, who I can’t bloody stand.
The dad is not alone, as dads all over the country are up in arms over the lack of Bond on Boxing Day. The Daily Mail has blamed Muslims for the lack of Bond, and Nigel Farage has placed the blame firmly at the foot of immigrants.
No Bond? This is the sort of nonsense we can expect from the Tories’ open door policy on immigration.
What do the Bugle’s readers think about the lack of Bond on Boxing Day? Are you equally annoyed?
